With over 12 years of experience within the communication industry, Rania started her career in lifestyle publishing, quickly rising to editor, prior to making a move into the world of PR and events. Over the years, Rania has specialized in luxury consumer goods, corporate, hospitality, travel, art and design, CSR and fashion PR, having worked with a string of high- profile international and regional brands as well as celebrities, on their positioning, image, launches and overall communication role out. Rania’s innate understanding of communication and strategy along with her trendsetting approach, has managed to gain her clients leading positioning, and establishing her as a noted authority on lifestyle PR and publicity in the UAE.
Educated in Sweden and the UK, with a degree in Politics & International Relations with Economics, Rania has always been active within philanthropy and charity fundraising. Starting at the mere age of 15 she founded the first youth chapter of Save the Children in her hometown in Sweden. Since her time in Dubai she has launched and supported various charity campaigns to raise funds and awareness. Currently, Rania is a board member of the Sunrise K’ Foundation.
With 17 years of experience in public relations and corporate communications, of which 8 have been in the Middle East, Katherine’s contacts and media relations skills span the world over.
Having worked with major events including the Olympic Games, Toronto Film Festival and the launch of Atlantis, The Palm, she is no stranger to managing top tier clients. Prior to her move to Dubai, Katherine headed the communications team for one of Canada’s largest retailers, the Hudson’s Bay Company which consisted of more than 500 store locations and a communications team across Canada.
Since relocating to Dubai, Katherine has worked on a number of brands including One & Only, Nobu, Giorgio Locatelli, COYA Dubai, Zuma, Weslodge and Morah.
Katherine also works in partnership with the Canadian Embassy to launch and position Canadian brands into the Middle East. Some of the brands she has supported in this capacity include Lulu Lemon, Joe Fresh, Big Smoke Burger and Air Canada.
With nearly two decades of agency experience in public relations and corporate communications, Sherry Boisvert is a senior communications professional. Over the years she has helped a host of companies raise their brand awareness, communicate with stakeholders and achieve measurable business results.
Her experience working at several of Canada’s top PR agencies has allowed her to hone her skills working with small and large brands across a host of industries, from professional services to hospitality, retail, consumer lifestyle, F&B, technology and travel. Some of the notable brands Sherry has worked with include Marriott International, Emirates Airlines, President’s Choice Financial, IKEA, Dare Foods, IBM Canada, BlackRock and more.
Specializing in media and influencer relations, social media and lifestyle communications, Sherry maintains strong relationships with media and influencers and has extensive experience launching products and services, building thought leadership, and hosting events and activations.
Prior to COPIA, Sherry served as a vice president at national, global and boutique agencies where she oversaw clients, managed new business development and was a key contributor to operations and recruitment.
